'No Kings' IV coming to Olympia on Oct. 17

In what is being billed as a “Nationwide Day of Action,” local organizers are encouraging people to join in an effort to promote early voting ahead of the Nov. 3 General Election.

Olympia Indivisible and Evergreen Resistance are hosting “No Kings: Vote Early” in Olympia in concert with hundreds of events across the United States.

The local event is scheduled to begin with a ballot march drop from Lions Park at 800 Wilson St. SE in Olympia to the Thurston County Atrium Building at 3000 Pacific Ave. in Olympia.

The march is scheduled to start at 9:45 a.m. with an anticipated arrival time of 10:30 a.m. for a ballot drop, and then subsequent remarks by Thurston County Auditor Mary Hall.

A sign-waving event is scheduled to follow at the Washington State Capitol Campus from noon to 2 p.m.

“The sign-waving event will include music, chanting, and tables to help voters get engaged, determine next steps, and figure out how to keep the momentum going in the weeks leading up to the (Nov. 3) General Election,” said Olympia Indivisible and Evergreen Resistance in an announcement about the event.

The local event is part of what national No Kings organizers say is going to be a big effort to protect elections against sabotage and turn out the largest early vote in history.

“Our elections are under attack. On October 17th we defend our rights,” said No Kings organizers in a message posted on their website. “We’re fueling the largest early vote in the history of our Republic. Because in America, power belongs to the people — not wannabe kings.”

Indivisible Project PAC is directly tied to George Soros' Open Society Foundations. Indivisible coordinated the "Hands Off" protests of 2025 and runs the nationwide "No Kings" movement. Unamerican as ever.
