West Olympia-based yoga studio True Self Yoga has acquired a new property to house its new instructor  training facility.

True Self Yoga, located in Westmoor Court along Black Lake Boulevard, purchased an 8,360-square-foot property on December 20 for $1.33 million with financing from the Washington Business Bank.

The newly acquired property neighbors the yoga studio and is currently the site of two dental clinics. According to the studio’s management, the tenancy of the two clinics will not change. Still, a portion of the building will be renovated as the new destination for the studio’s teacher training facility.

The neighboring site's acquisition will also secure additional parking spaces for the yoga studio.

The program's first teacher training cycle runs from January 26 to March 24 and will consist of a 200-hour training that covers the basic philosophy and instruction of yoga. The training course will also include instruction on meditation, asanas, and anatomy topics.

A complete overview of the course is available on True Self Yoga’s website.

Participants with complete attendance may register for an RYT-200 certification from Yoga Alliance, the country’s largest professional association for yoga teachers.

The yoga studio will also offer a more extensive 500-hour training course in the future, co-owner Vajra Romano told The JOLT.

True Self Yoga has been offering yoga classes since 2016 and is majority-owned by Christina Lagdameo.
