Lacey is reminding residents that it is implementing its mandatory watering schedule starting today, June 1 until September 30.

Addresses ending in even numbers will be allowed to water on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays; residents living in odd-numbered addresses may water on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.

“No watering on Fridays,” said the city in its social media post.

While there is no limit on the amount of water used, the city explained that watering at the same time can produce a strain on the city’s water supply.

“By taking turns, we reduce high demand and prevent the need for costly infrastructure,” Lacey explained.

Violations can be reported to 360-491-5600 or at waterresources@ci.lacey.wa.us

Might as well be in Southern California during a drought where and when watering restrictions are also mandatory. Sweet!
