A man has been taken into custody in connection with an assault that occurred on Friday evening, Feb. 28, at an undisclosed fast-food restaurant.
According to a Lacey Police Department social media post, a female employee was attacked in the restaurant’s bathroom by a suspect who had been lingering in the area.
Staff members recognized him as someone frequently seen around the restaurant, but did not know his name.
Based on a detailed description provided by witnesses, a Community Resource Unit (CRU) officer identified a possible suspect from prior encounters.
Law enforcement authorities located the individual at a bus stop in Olympia on Saturday afternoon, March 1, and arrested him on suspicion of second-degree assault.
“Great work to our patrol and CRU for locating this violent suspect and to the witnesses and victim for supplying us with a great description,” the Lacey Police Department said.
