An Olympia woman is accusing her male roommate of climbing on top of her in an attempted sexual assault on Wed., Aug. 4.

Kyler Edward Dose, 26, was accused of forcibly mounting and humping the victim, who was not in a relationship with him. The victim stated to Thurston Deputies that Dose has done this numerous times in the past without her permission and that she has told him to stop and that Dose is aware that this behavior is unwanted.

During the encounter, Dose allegedly told the victim that the factor he had a girlfriend and was doing this to the victim “makes it more exciting.”

When the victim attempted to stand up, Dose allegedly grabbed and pushed her to the floor of their west Olympia residence, according to the police report. Dose then got on the victim, used one hand to grab her neck and squeezed for 10 seconds. The accuser reported to a responding Sheriff’s deputy that she hit her head on a wooden cabinet when pushed to the floor and was experiencing dizziness, blurred vision and a headache.

When contacted by Thurston Deputies at the location, Dose at first denied that he mounted the victim, then changed his story, claiming to have mounted her while she was on the ground. “We have a weird relationship,” Dose told a Thurston County Sheriff’s Deputy.

According to the police report, Dose changed his story about what occurred several times.

Dose was booked into the Thurston jail and booked on domestic violence assault with sexual motivation.
