Traffic Advisory

Lane closures in Israel Road SW and Linderson Way SW in Tumwater Thursday, Friday

Posted

Residents and commuters in Tumwater are advised to expect delays as lane closures are scheduled for Israel Road SW and Linderson Way SW on April 4 and 5 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

There will be intermittent one-lane alternating traffic during the specified hours.

These closures will facilitate the final phase of water main trench restoration paving at several key locations.

Lane closures will affect Israel Road SW, stretching to the west of the intersection to the I-5 bridge, including the WA State Parks entrance. Access to Washington State Parks from Israel Road will be maintained with a single-lane entrance and exit.

The lanes south of the intersection to the WA L&I entrance in Linderson Way SE lane will be closed; however, access to L&I from Linderson Way SW will remain open.

Lane closures will be in effect from south of the intersection to the entrance of Maintenance and Operations on New Market Street. While New Market Street will have one-lane alternating traffic, access points to the Tumwater Timberland Regional Library and the back entrance to City Hall for Maintenance and Operations will remain open.

The Tumwater Parks and Facilities parking lot entrance from Israel Road SW may be closed temporarily, while the eastbound motorists on Israel Road may experience shoulder or lane shifts.

During this period, traffic control measures will be implemented, and flaggers will be on-site to guide drivers through the work zones.

Motorists are urged to exercise caution, adhere to posted speed limits, and follow instructions from flaggers.

The scheduled road delays are subject to change due to weather conditions, equipment availability, and project delays.

Contact the Communications department at (360) 252-5408 or via email for any inquiries or concerns regarding the lane closures.
