Lacey police seek 3 men after botched ATM theft

The Lacey Police Department is on the lookout for three men who tried but failed to steal an ATM.

Early morning on November 28, three males were caught on surveillance footage attempting to steal a U.S. Bank ATM on the 5500 block of Martin Way E, Lacey police said in a media release.

Two suspects placed tow ropes around the ATM while a third man drove a white box truck with an unknown plate number.

The suspects drove off eastbound through the parking lot in the truck after three failed attempts.

Lacey police said the suspects previously attempted the same crime at other locations along the I-5 corridor.

People with information about the incident were asked to call the Lacey Police Department at 360-459-4333 or Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS (8477).

    IF this wasn't so damned sad it would be funny. Three clowns trying to rope and tie an ATM. That thing looks pretty solid.

    Lacey, more and more everyday is becoming a s***hole. My advice? Protect yourself. Buy a firearm, keep track of what your kids do and where they go and don't go out at night. Not only are our local politicians and councilmembers total f***bags but the homeless scum and degenerate criminal filth of this city run rampant along the main roads.

    I tried the rope and pickup truck trick with a small tree stump in my front yard. The stump won. The ATM machine is much larger. Maybe these guys should just go get a job. A lot less work.
