Lacey plans to revamp city’s newsletter LaceyLife

The Lacey Community Relations and Public Affairs Committee is planning to give the city’s newsletter LaceyLife a facelift following the survey it took in February.

During the committee meeting on Monday, June 5, Lacey Communication Specialist Donna Feliciano said they have three goals for the revamp, which involves the following goals:

  • To create a Citywide style guide to ensure consistent branding and messaging of City materials.
  • To expand and standardize communication processes with external stakeholders. Feliciano said this includes the use of interactive and innovative communication methods to reach underheard or underrepresented populations.
  • To establish consistent city materials by creating a citywide style guide, logo, and flag-use policy, and pursuing other comprehensive changes to communications materials.

Feliciano said they conducted a survey in 2023 where 73% of the 124 respondents said that they read the city’s newsletter.

The current distribution of LaceyLife includes Utility Bills which are sent by mail, emails and website. Feliciano added that her team is planning to expand the distribution.

I've lived in Lacey 6+ years and have never even seen a copy. Is it kept under the counter like men's magazines used to be?
