Lacey’s Timberland Regional Library branch and the Friends of the Lacey Library teamed up for an exciting digital photography contest for its residents.

Titled “My Neighborhood: A Digital Photography Contest,” the event is open to teens from 6th to 12th grade and adults.

For September, the contest’s theme is “My Washington.” Interested participants are encouraged to capture something that “demonstrates something important to you about Washington.” The deadline will be at 6 p.m. on Friday, September 30.

“My Community” will be the theme for October. Participants are expected to submit photographs about “something in your community that shows what your neighborhood means to you.” The Library’s deadline will be at 6 p.m. on Monday, October 31.

Contestants must be Lacey residents and can only submit one entry per month.

Winners will receive a certificate of commemoration and cash prizes ranging from $25 to $75. The photographs will be printed, framed, and displayed in the Lacey Timberland Library or the Hawks Prairie Timberland Library until January 2023.

Interested residents may email their digital photograph entry to Contests@TRL.org. For more details, you click here.
