Posted

Inspire Olympia will officially open its application process for 2025-26 Impact Funding on Monday, Jan. 13, providing eligible local nonprofit organizations an opportunity to secure financial support for cultural programs and events.

This initiative seeks to foster a healthy, inclusive and accessible cultural sector in Olympia, aligning with Inspire Olympia's mission to make creative experiences available to everyone.

Impact Funding applicants can request between $3,000 and $30,000 for a one-year funding cycle.

However, organizations must meet a one-to-one match requirement, providing equal resources through cash, in-kind contributions or a combination. The match can include projected income from grants, fundraising, ticket sales or tuition fees.

Applications are open to programs for the general public, youths under 18, or both. Proposals may include single events, event series or year-round programming.

To apply, organizations must have a program or event focused on advancing arts, culture, heritage or science, be a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit or have a fiscal sponsor with similar status, be based in Olympia or primarily serve the city’s residents or school district, and offer at least one cultural event or program annually for the public or youths.

Organizations are encouraged to download application guidelines, attend workshops and consult with staff before applying. Applications can be submitted online starting January 2025.

Application workshops will discuss important details and the application process, and provide training on how to create a strong application. To participate in the workshop, register online on your preferred date: Jan. 21 or Feb. 2

The application period will close on March 14. The funding period runs from July 1, 2025,  to June 30, 2026.
