If you live in an 'urban growth area' in Olympia, you might want to watch this meeting

The Thurston Board of County Commissioners will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, August 1, at 3:30 p.m. to discuss the Olympia Joint Plan update.

The county reminded the public in a press release that cities’ Joint Plans are used to guide development in Urban Growth Areas (UGAs), as required by the Growth Management Act.

“The proposed amendments in this update include revised background information, updated goals and policy language, and one site-specific land-use and zoning amendment or, alternatively, a proposed code change to Title 23,” said the county.
