James "Wade" Moore, born on Jan. 31, 1957, in California, passed away peacefully on March 20, 2026, in Olympia, Washington, at the age of 69, after a courageous battle with cancer. Wade was a loving husband, dedicated father, grandfather and a friend to many who will remember him for his warm spirit and passion for life.
He married Denine Sue Larkin in 1975, settled down in Winton, California, before finding love again with Judi Roeser, whom he wed on Jan. 23, 1988, in Tacoma, Washington. A dedicated husband and father, Wade is survived by his beloved wife Judi and his four sons: James W. Moore II, John W. Moore, Justin L. Moore, and Jared W. Moore. Wade took immense pride in his role as a father and doting grandfather to Brookelyn, age 17, and Jasper, age 3, providing guidance and laughter to the next generation.
Raised in Los Banos, California, Wade cultivated a passion for music, particularly for guitar and singing, which brought joy to his life and inspired those around him. He embraced his love for nature through hunting and fishing, often spending treasured moments outdoors.
Professionally, Wade was a self-employed contractor, operating his successful business, Orlands Remodeling. His strong work ethic and talent in his craft earned him respect and admiration in the community. Wade spent his life both creating homes and crafting memories. He took immense pride in building structures that were as sturdy as the bonds he forged with his family and friends. Throughout his life, he remained an active member of various hunting and gun clubs, sharing his passion with friends and family.
Preceded in death by his parents, James Naaman Moore and Ida Faye Waltman, as well as his siblings, Shielena and Floyd, Wade's departure leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who knew him.
A celebration of Wade's life will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 1 p.m. at Funeral Alternative of Washington, located at 455 North Street SE, Tumwater, Washington. Friends, family, and all who loved Wade are invited to join in honoring his remarkable life.
As we reflect upon Wade's memory, let us carry forward his spirit of love, laughter, and adventure. Though he may no longer walk among us, his legacy will endure through the stories we share and the lives he touched.
Rest in peace, dear Wade; you will be forever missed but never forgotten.
