Global Time Attack (GTA) announced on their website Friday that the GTA Speed Summit is set to return to the Ridge Motorsport Park in Shelton from August 24 to 25, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The weekend of motorsports entertainment includes events such as the Global Time Attack, the Lone Star Drift, and the Ridge Grand Prix among others in a fun two-day event.
The Global Time Attack will feature record-setting speeds from the world's fastest dedicated time attack cars from GTA, with these drivers expected to be pushed to their limits competing against the best of the best on the track.
Meanwhile, the Lone Star Drift exhibition will feature drivers performing drift exhibitions in the lower paddocks while GTA takes to the Road Course. For a small fee, fans will have the opportunity to ride shotgun in almost any of the onsite drift cars.
For spectators who want to get behind the steering wheel, the event has them covered. The Ridge Grand Prix (RGP) is open for people who want to test their skills battling friends and family on the RGP go-karts and attempt to set the weekend record for fastest lap. The go-karts reach speeds of up to 45 mph.
As if racing weren't enough, there is even more for fans to enjoy, such as the Lacey Collision Center Beer Garden serving up a variety of beverages for those 21 and over. Inflatable Axe Throwing and football field goals will be open for fans of all ages to enjoy. Other highlights of the event will include a DJ Dance Party and food trucks, including one from the Ridge Cafe.
