After the conclusion of the volleyball season this fall, Molly Packer and Lucendy Perez of The Evergreen State College were given Honorable mentions in the 2024 All-Cascade Collegiate Conference honors after their standout performances this season for the Geoducks.

Packer and Perez were just two of the 13 honorable mentions in the 2024 CCC All-Conference Team, which was voted upon by the coaches of the 12 member schools of the conference.

Packer has been the trusted floor general in defense for the Geoducks as the main libero of the team. The junior libero from Vancouver, WA registered 10 or more digs in 24 of the 26 matches she has played this season, earning her season-high of 36 excellent digs in their win against Northwest University on September 17 and again in their defeat over Multnomah on October 19.

Overall, Packer had 495 digs in 26 matches this season to rank second on the Geoducks' all-time list for digs in a season, averaging 5.21 digs per set.

"Molly Packer was a key person who contributed to our defense," Evergreen Head Volleyball Coach Carissa Bounds said. "She was able to get herself on school record lists in multiple categories in only one season."

As a senior Opposite Hitter, Perez contributed to the Geoducks' attacking arsenal, with 178 kills and 252 digs in all 26 matches played this season. She achieved a career-high 17 kills in the defeat against Multnomah on October 19 and hit a career-high 24 digs in the Geoducks' win over Walla Walla University on October 12.

In her two years at Evergreen, she played in 40 matches and 130 sets, while earning 232 kills, 331 digs, and 20 total blocks.

"Lucendy Perez was a rock for our team," Bounds commented. "She constantly was someone we could rely on both defensively and offensively. She always came in every day to work hard and get better for herself and her team."

With both players exhausting their allowed playing years this season, they will forgo playing for the Geoducks next season and will surely be a huge miss for Evergreen.

Evergreen Volleyball finished the 2024 season with a 4-18 conference record, with their four wins coming from Northwest University, Multnomah, Warner Pacific, and Walla Walla University. They finished 10th out of 12 teams in the conference.
