Friends of Trees Fundraiser with Olympia’s Heartsparkle Players

Posted by jratner

Join an intimate evening of entertainment in support of Friends of Trees hosted by Woodard Cohousing with Heartsparkle Players. Olympia's own Playback Theatre Ensemble co-creates an evening of hope and community for tree lovers of all ages. Playback Theatre is a style of theatrical improvisation where audience members tell real moments from their lives; then the actors and musicians create art from their personal stories. This evening we focus on stories on the theme For the Love of Trees.

Location: Woodard Cohousing Common House at 1620 Woodard Ave NW.

Parking: Extremely limited parking on Woodard Ave NW so we will have a volunteer directing traffic and leave a sign when the spaces are full. If full then please park on Rogers. Feel free to drop off people needing assistance directly to the Common House Ramp and then park.

RSVP: Very limited seating. Guests added to a waitlist after 40 RSVPs. https://www.restoringearthconnection.org/event-details/friends-of-trees-fundraiser-with-olympias-heartsparkle-players

Suggested donation $10-20 adults and $5 children No one turned away for lack of funds.

Friends of Trees is an action group of Restoring Earth Connection non-profit that is working to protect the trees of Olympia, Tumwater, Lacey and Thurston County. Trees are an important part of our EcoSystem. Donations to Friends of Trees allow us to expand our campaigns, like: • Educating the public about trees • Fighting for better ordinances to protect trees • Launching our campaign "Saving the Giants”to protect trees over 24" Diameter at Breast Height with designations like “Exceptional” • Working in coalition with other groups to protect Old Growth forests.
