Local nonprofit North Thurston Education Foundation (NTEF) calls on the community to aid in giving winter coats to students in need as temperatures drop.

The organization aims to collect 1,000 new coats of all sizes for students in the North Thurston Public Schools from November 11 – December 20, 2024.

NTEF is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Lacey that directs resources to enrich student programs, meet basic needs, and enhance educational opportunities across North Thurston Public Schools (NTPS).

“Throughout the year, NTEF partners with local businesses to provide drop-off locations for donations. These partnerships enable us to meet the growing needs of students facing economic challenges in our community. Right now, as nighttime temperatures hover near freezing, the demand for warm winter coats is greater than ever,” stated the press release

The community may drop off new winter coats in any size or warm clothing for teens in adult sizes at the following locations:

  • Vert Chiropractic: 4444 Lacey Blvd SE, Lacey, WA 98503 (business hours)
  • Lacey South Sound Chamber: 3925 8th Ave SE Suite C, Lacey, WA 98503 (M-Th, 10–4)
