Five individuals were arrested and a stolen vehicle was recovered after Thurston County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) personnel visited a residence known to authorities for prior drug activity.
The arrests were made in the early morning hours of Sunday, June 1, according to the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) report.
Early on June 1, a TCSO deputy located a Dodge pickup truck with a fake license plate parked outside a residence on Stillwell Street NE. Upon checking the vehicle’s registration, it was confirmed to have been reported stolen in Seattle.
“One individual told the deputy the truck was his before running into the (backyard) with others,” TCSO Sheriff Derek Sanders said in a social media post.
More deputies arrived on the scene and waited in the house adjacent to the residence where the suspects were hiding. Two suspects went through the adjacent house and were arrested.
One of the suspects identified as Austin James Gregson, 27, was arrested for the charge of first-degree criminal trespass.
Another suspect, identified as Jamal Rashaan Payton, 50, was charged with first-degree criminal trespass as well as possession of a stolen vehicle, after initially stating the Dodge pickup was his.
Reports say that a dozen individuals were also detained.
One of the individuals, identified as Cassandra Rae Ratzel, 38, had an outstanding warrant from Lacey for second-degree robbery. The suspects were all identified via police records.
Another individual identified as James Allen Pursley, 36, had a warrant for reckless driving and third-degree driving while license suspended. Another suspect, Terra Alexus Fuller, 22, had a warrant of arrest for fourth-degree assault.
Authorities also requested a search warrant to obtain evidence inside the stolen pickup and the residence where all the suspects gathered.
