Day 40: House, Senate pass bill about informed consent for homeless youth

The House Floor debated Substitute Senate Bill 5883, which concerns homeless youth’s ability to provide informed consent for healthcare and elective surgeries.

The bill passed the House 57-41 on March 3 and had already passed the Senate 28-21 on February 9th. The bill now goes to the Governor’s Office for an opportunity to be signed into law.
