Daniel J. Evans Nisqually Stewardship Award for Karen Fraser

Mark your calendar on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, as the Nisqually River Foundation Team honors the decades-long career of Former Senator, Thurston County Commissioner & Nisqually River Task Force Chair, Karen Fraser with an evening dinner celebration at Wilcox Farms where the foundation will present her with the fourth Daniel J. Evans Nisqually Stewardship Award!

Karen's time in the Watershed is a story of commitment and perseverance as she spearheaded the 1985 Task Force that led to what we now know as the Nisqually River Council. Her ability to work with others and envision a future of environmental, social, and economic balance has helped form the basic tenets of the foundation's Stewardship Plan, and they hope to carry that vision forward in all the work that they do.
