At yesterday’s meeting, the Board of County Commissioners elected District 3 Commissioner Tye Menser and District 4 Commissioner Wayne Fournier as chair and vice-chair, respectively.
Outgoing chair Carolina Mejia thanked county staff for her year of service:
“I thank the board for the opportunity. It's been … a trial by fire, taking over as chairman my second year, but [I’m] appreciative of the opportunity I was given and thankful to [the] staff,” Mejia said.
Mejia was elected to the board in 2021 and was chosen to chair in 2022. She is also a member of the County Board of Health.
