The Capitol Lake Interpretive Center dock, situated north of the Interpretive Center at 2600 Deschutes Parkway, will undergo a routine inspection on Tuesday, December 12, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is conducting the inspection to identify and address any necessary repairs.

During the inspection period, pedestrian access to the dock will be restricted, and the area will be closed to passersby until the inspection and any required repairs are completed.

The public should anticipate increased noise levels in the vicinity emanating from equipment used for the inspection and potential repairs.

It is important to note that all work is subject to weather conditions, and the schedule may be adjusted accordingly.

Despite the dock's closure, the Interpretive Center restrooms remain open for public use.

The primary purpose of this inspection is to maintain the structural integrity and safety of the dock.
