Bridge replacement, road improvements underway at Littlerock Road and 113th Avenue

A bridge replacement project is underway along Littlerock Road in Thurston County.

Work on the project started on Monday, May 4, starting with one-way traffic with delays. The projects is in the area of Littlerock Road SW and 113th Avenue SW.

"This project will replace the bridge over Blooms Ditch, add a left‑turn pocket at 113th Ave SW, upgrade signage and markings, and install additional street lighting," said the county in an update on the project.

Looking ahead, Littlerock Road SW between 113th Avenue SW and 110th Avenue SW will be closed to through traffic starting Monday, June 15, until Saturday, Oct. 3. Timelines are subject to change due to weather or other circumstances.

Funding for this project is largely provided by a federal Surface Transportation Block Grant.
