A suspect is now in custody for 1st-degree arson after a structure on the 6800 block of Martin Way E caught fire late Friday night.

Firefighters from Lacey Fire District 3, multiple other fire departments, and the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office (TSCO) responded to “a fully involved structure with heavy fire,” which spread to more units at a mobile home park in the 6800 block of Martin Way E late Friday night.

According to Thurston Co. Scanner, News, & Weather Blog (TCSNW), the location is Tonys Trailer Park, and a second trailer’s front porch and a vehicle also caught fire, prompting Thurston County Sheriff’s Office deputies, led by Sheriff Sanders, to initiate evacuation of the whole park.

TCSNW shared that radio traffic also reported a shed with a propane tank inside also ablaze and advised motorists to avoid the area.

The fire resulted in damages to multiple structures within the area, although no casualties were reported, according to TCSO.
