Wheeler camp resident bites girlfriend, police say

A transient man living in the Wheeler Avenue houseless community was arrested last Thursday after repeatedly assaulting his girlfriend., police say. 

Glenn Ingram II, 51, was accused on April 29 by his girlfriend of four separate incidents of abuse from Dec. 25, 2020 to April 27, 2021, mainly in their shared motorhome and tent.

Olympia Police interviewed transients living in tents around the motorhome, who each confirmed verbal altercations but witnessed no physical violence between the two.

Ingram’s girlfriend said that Ingram had tossed her things out of their tent, firing a BB gun at her on Christmas 2020. In February 2021, during an argument, Ingram had put his hand around her throat.

Another incident included Ingram allegedly throwing a flashlight at her, then kicking her in the face, then throwing a full Pepsi bottle at her.

During the April 27 alleged assault, Ingram got into a verbal argument with his girlfriend after she touched his meth pipe; Ingram put her in a headlock, biting her nose.

Ingram denied all allegations when interviewed by Olympia Police. Ingram was booked into the Olympia Jail for Simple Assault, Domestic Violence.
