What's that bird in my backyard?

Posted

Inspired by news reports of many people taking up birding amid COVID-19, members of the Black Hills Audubon Society (BHAS) began hosting multiple online events for people who share interests in birds and other wildlife, their habitats, and natural history.

Kim Adelson, Board Member of the local National Audubon Society, told the JOLT that the organization is committed to helping the novice birder and will do so via their email hotline.

If you are curious to know what that strange-looking bird you keep seeing on your block is, need help choosing the right bird feeder or seed, or learn how to build a birdhouse, email BHAS at questionsforBHAS@gmail.com.

BHAS was incorporated in the 1960s by the National Audubon Society. It serves Thurston, Mason and Lewis counties.
