Washington State bans high-capacity gun magazines

The new law signed last Wednesday, March 23,bans high capacity magazines for firearms.

The 2022 Washington State Legislature tackled the controversial subject of banning high capacity magazines for weapons in Engrossed Substitute Senate Bill 5078. The Senate took up the debate on Feb. 9. The Senate passed the bill on February 9 by a vote of 28-20. The bill was then heard in the House on March 4. The bill passed the House on March 4, by a vote of 55-42.

Governor Jay Inslee signed the legislation into law on March 23.

    well put bobkat and so true.

    The camel's nose is a metaphor for a situation where the permitting of a small, seemingly innocuous act will open the door for larger, clearly undesirable actions.
