The Washington Department of Ecology (DOE) launches Air Quality Program aiming to gather input from residents regarding air pollution and its impacts on the community.
Despite the enactment of the state Clean Air Act over fifty-five years ago, air pollution remains a pressing issue for numerous communities across Washington, hence, the creation of the program.
DOE has introduced an online survey aimed at collecting data to aid in their research.
Olympic Region Clean Air Agency (ORCAA) oversees the air monitoring stations for the Olympic Peninsula and, in a news release, said, “This survey is important to our local communities as well as to the state-wide interests.” ORCAA asked residents to take a moment to complete the online survey. “The survey results will help guide Ecology in future developments of the state’s air monitoring network.” ORCAA oversees Clallam, Jefferson, Grays Harbor, Mason, Pacific, and Thurston counties.
Residents are urged to take a few minutes to complete the online survey.
The anonymous survey ensures confidentiality, and responses will exclusively contribute to DOE’s efforts to enhance air quality.
Aside from participating in the online survey, residents are encouraged to share it with their networks, including family, friends, colleagues, and community leaders.
Individuals can visit the Washington Department of Ecology’s website for further information.
