Tumwater School District opens nominations and applications for District 3 director vacancy

The Tumwater School District (TSD) Board of Directors (BOD) is seeking interested applicants and nominees for the Director of District 3 position due to Scott Killough's recent resignation.

Killough is transferring to a condominium in Olympia, putting him under the Olympia School District coverage.

The BOD is taking nominations and applications to fill this position until the next election cycle 2025. 

Individuals interested in nominating someone or applying are directed to pick up the appropriate forms at the TSD Office at 621 Linwood Avenue SW Tumwater, WA 98512, or download them through the district’s webpage.

Nomination forms must be submitted to the Superintendent's Office through Becky Parsons on July 12, 2024, at 4 p.m. Application packets are due later at the same office on July 26, 2024, at 4 p.m.

Applicants are asked to provide a brief biographical sketch of their background and experiences relevant to the Tumwater School District and community.

Applicants will also be asked to describe the district’s major strengths and challenges from their perspective.
