I-5’s on and off ramps at Exit 102 to Trosper Road SW will be closed on Thursday, June 1 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following day for lane markings. The city crews are preparing to construct a large portion of the new roundabout at 6th Avenue SW.

“Motorists will be directed to detour via Exit 101 to Tumwater Boulevard or Exit 103 to Deschutes Way SW,” said Tumwater in a press release.

Work on the site is part of the Capitol Boulevard Corridor Project which will be to address “traffic delays, pedestrian safety, and mobility deficiencies along Trosper Road SW from the I-5 overpass to Capitol Boulevard SW and the I-5 Northbound on- and off-ramps.”

Three roundabout projects are planned as part of the Capitol Boulevard Corridor Project.

Complaints and concerns may be sent to Tumwater’s Communications email or (360) 754-4186.
