Karly Adriann Keylock, 41, whom police listed as transient in Lacey, was detained for attempting to steal shoes and jewelry from Kohls  on Fri., June 18 at approximately 7:30 p.m.

Her accused accomplice, whom store security referred to as a “known shoplifter who has been deterred multiple times,” a male companion, was unable to be located at the time.

Keylock had allegedly managed to steal $341.99 worth of shoes and jewelry, according to Lacey police, and was spotted by Kohls., Police noticed that she was wearing brand new Nike sandals, which Keylock admitted came from Kohls.

An officer asked if Keylock knew why she was being detained. “Probably because the alarm went off when I left Kohls.”

During a voluntary search of her vehicle, officers observed several clothing items that still had security devices attached to them. Keylock said that she got them from “some place in the Olympia mall” but admitted not paying for them.

Keylock was booked into the Nisqually jail for theft.
