Olympia may have a new resto-bar opening soon.

Restauranteur Timothy Zohn met up with the Olympia Site Plan Review Committee yesterday to discuss plans for a neighborhood bar which his business plan describes as “Miami Vice, in Olympia, on a tugboat.”

The Shiny Prize Cocktail Lounge will include a 25-ft. bar in the 671 sq. ft. former barbershop at  118 4th Ave., between McMenamins Spar Café and Schwartz's. The space will accommodate up to 20 customers at a time according to Zohn.

The location should be conducive to business, according to Zohn’s proposal, as it is on one of the city’s main thoroughfares and in the region's major nightlife destination.

The Shiny Prize will be owned by Two Ernies LLC, with Zohn as its founder. He will bring experience working in Michelin-starred restaurants and one of the Top 50 Best-rated Bars in America.
