The Thurston County Sheriff's Office is asking the public for help in identifying a motorcycle and a vehicle that may have recently been in the Scott Lake area.

"Investigators are seeking assistance from Scott Lake residents who have security cameras that capture views of the roadway and live on Scott Creek (Drive), Shore View (Drive), or Champion (Drive) SW," the sheriff's office said in a social media post on Tuesday, April 29.

"They are specifically looking for footage from April 26, 2025, between 5:50 (p.m.) and 6:10 (p.m.) that may show a purple BMW and/or a red and black motorcycle passing by. If you have video that matches this request, please email Deputy Matt Kohlman at: matthew.kohlman@co.thurston.wa.us."

It was not clear why the sheriff's office was seeking the footage.
