Olympia Farmers Market high season has started with more vendors; Seniors Day on Thursdays

Olympia Farmers’ Market (OFM) will celebrate Senior’s Day tomorrow, April 5, offering discounts to shoppers aged 55 and above.

Part of the market’s High Season that began on April 1, the market is now open Thursdays to Sundays, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., for customers given more access to fresh produce, artisanal food, handmade crafts and more.

“We know that our senior customers are some of our most loyal supporters, and we want to thank them for their continued patronage," said Nora Assistant Manager Hantula.

Seniors’ Day will be a regular event at the market every Thursday.

Last Saturday, OFM opened with Yelm High School’s Future Farmers of America representatives ringing the opening bell. Through one of the largest chapters in the country, the market is also promoting the importance of agriculture, premier leadership, personal growth, and career success for students

Thursday, April 6 opening

OFM will have a free raffle tomorrow for its shoppers, with the opening bell to be rung by the Friends of the Olympia Farmers Market at 10 a.m. followed by a performance by Oly Samba.
