Hundreds of people gathered on the grounds of the Washington Capitol campus in Olympia for a “Not My Presidents Day” protest against the policies of President Donald Trump on Monday, Feb. 17.
The protest, which started at noon and ended around 2 p.m., was part of a broader effort across the nation aimed at condemning Trump for certain actions taken in the infancy of his second presidency. Similar protests were held in other cities on Monday, including Portland and Seattle.
Some of the protesters in Olympia carried signs emblazoned with statements, such as “All of my outrage can’t fit on this sign” and “Resist Fascism,” while others loudly chanted “Immigrants are welcomed here — no hatred, no fear” repeatedly.
The protest on Monday came nearly two weeks after a similar event was held at the Washington Capitol on Feb. 5. That event was part of a nationwide protest at each state capitol on the same day — 50 protests, 50 states, one day. The protests were organized by the 50501 Movement.

“Resist Fascism” ... Fascists do not cut agencies or explore transparency in federal government - they consolidate power.
Our society is ignorant and base their decisions on emotion. This is not going to end well for them.

I guess they supported the prior administration with record: human trafficking, modern day slavery, illegal immigration, inflation, unemployment, crime, and more.

Glad to see so many people, of all ages, out there on the Capitol Campus, expressing their disgust with how things are going (or not going) in Washington DC. An amazing mix of people, and the concerns that they have, is exactly what should be happening. Kudos to the organizers!

We. Must speak out against Trump’s attempts to become a King. He is following in the footsteps of Hitler. We are losing our democracy. We can stand up to him with nonviolent resistance.

These people are literally protesting to preserve the governments ability to take our tax money and spend it in grossly wasteful ways for programs that do not benefit the US or it's citizens. This is completely rooted in an emotional response to their hatred of Trump and Musk.

Let's remember our traditional nicknames for our Country's founding Fathers. Lincoln was lovingly called Honest Abe. And Washington could not tell a lie (re; the cherry tree episode). Our Current one is a serial lier. Not only to those who didn't vote for him, but to the ones who did.

Good to see the delusional middle aged white people and blue haired weirdos had nothing else to do. Their brain washing is strong. To not remember Trump was in power before and we were successful. Thinking that the biden/camala/obama admin was doing any good is insane. They set our country back and we will feel the corruption from them for years.

I just love these people that stupidly thought we were better off with the prior administration. In case some of you forgot, President Trump won the popular vote along with the electoral vote. Everyone knew what his policies would be and that's what we voted for. It's time this country got rid of the status quo in this waste, abuse, corruption and fraud that so many people seem to have gotten used to. I find it interesting also that people call President Trump, a dictator, isn't he the one that is trying to get less control in the federal government and get it back to the states. If anyone was a dictator, it was who was actually running the White House in the previous administration. It must be nice to get paid from the 50501 movement to show up to all these protests nationwide which are probably backed by George Soros.
