Earth and Beyond Part II

Take your pick – the South Puget Sound Community College Music Department will be performing three concerts December 2nd-4th!

The SPSCC Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Cameron May, marks the end of the fall quarter by performing Beethoven’s Pastoral symphony, expressing sensations and remembrances of country life. The first half of the concert ventures beyond Earth, with Richard Strauss’ Introduction to Also Sprach Zarathustra and the world premiere performance of local composer James DeHart’s …Of Stars…. SPSCC Astronomy professor Kathleen Enseñat will introduce the piece and has selected some images from the new James Webb telescope to accompany the performance.
