County requests residents report property damage caused by last month’s flooding

Thurston County Emergency Management (TCEM) is asking community members to report if their property was damaged or destroyed by recent weather.

“If your home or property was damaged due to flooding or wind during December 2022: submit your Initial Damage Assessment (IDA),” TCEM requested in a press release.

TCEM will be using the information collected from the submitted IDAs to evaluate whether or not to make a declaration of a disaster.

“A declared disaster may provide direct assistance to residents with disaster-caused unmet needs,” according to TCEM's notice.
