Climate Ambassador Training

Washington Climate Corps Network and ecoAmerica are partnering to offer the Path to Positive Ambassador Training to equip you with the knowledge, hands-on experience, and resources to speak and take action on climate change in your home, neighborhood, workplace, community, with policymakers, and beyond.

The training is practical, inspiring, and backed by science. Individuals interested in becoming Path to Positive Ambassadors must attend live or complete the online, self-paced version and then sign the pledge. Closed captioning will be provided.

The training takes place from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Pacific Time on Sept. 10 and 12. The training will be held via Zoom.

This training is open to all Serve Washington program partners and anyone interested in learning about climate change solutions.

The training is designed to equip community members with the knowledge, hands-on experience, and resources to speak and act confidently on climate change solutions topics. Participants will learn how to lead presentations, communicate effectively, and invite others into climate action.

Topics include:

  • The case for climate action and climate basics
  • Impacts on local communities and climate justice
  • Climate solutions and benefits
  • Communicating on climate
  • Advocacy and engagement
  • Making a difference as an ambassador
