The City of Lacey is looking for three members of the community to round out positions on two boards.
The Parks, Culture and Recreation Advisory Board is seeking residents to fill two seats. One seat is for a term expiring on Nov. 17, 2027. Applicants for the vacancy must reside within Lacey city limits.
The other seat is for a term expiring on March 22, 2027. Applicants for the vacancy must reside within the Lacey Urban Growth Area.
“The eight-member Lacey Parks, Culture and Recreation Board is comprised of seven general commissioners and one youth representative to make recommendations to the (city council) regarding planning, promotion, acquisition, construction, and development of parks and spaces, recreation facilities, and recreational programs,” the city said in a recruitment announcement on Monday, Feb. 3.
The vacancies are open until filled. A first review of applications will occur within 30 days of the release of the recruitment announcement.
The board meets on the first Wednesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. at Lacey City Hall, 420 College St. SE. For more information, contact the Lacey City Clerk’s Office at 360-491-3124.
The city is also seeking to fill a vacancy on the Lacey Library Board. The vacancy is for a term expiring on Feb. 2, 2030. Applicants for the vacancy must reside within Lacey city limits.
“The six-member Lacey Library Board, comprised of five general members and one youth representative, assists in developing long-range plans for library services in the City of Lacey,” the city said in a recruitment announcement on Monday, Feb. 3.
The board meets on the third Thursday of January, April, June and October at 5:30 p.m. at Lacey City Hall.
