Cities announce modified office hours for the holiday weekend

Olympia, Tumwater will have adjusted office hours during the holiday, while some Lacey facilities will be closed because of coming weather.

In a press release, Olympia stated that its city hall customer service desk would close at 3 p.m. on Friday, December 24, while city hall will be closed on Monday, December 26.

Meanwhile, Olympia Police Department’s front desk will close at 3 p.m. Friday and will resume operations on Tuesday, December 27, during its regular hours of 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Olympia Center’s front desk will close at 5 p.m. tomorrow and will resume on Tuesday, December 27.

Olympia Fire Department will close its business center from 5 p.m. tomorrow until Tuesday, when it will resume its operations. “Residents undertaking new construction or tenant improvements can be scheduled for a fire inspection by calling 360.753.8348.,” it said.

In its Facebook post, Tumwater announced that city hall, the Old Town Center and Tumwater Library will be open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. tomorrow and will be closed for the whole day of Monday, December 26.

Tumwater said that water, sewer, and street problems can be reported by calling the Public Works Hotline at (360) 754-4150. 911 will still be operational.

Lacey did not announce any changes in office hours, but noted that parking lot gates and restrooms for the following city facilities would be closed due to expected hazardous weather expected tomorrow:

  • Regional Athletic Complex (RAC)
  • Rainier Vista Community Park
  • Wonderwood, Homann, Long Lake, and Meridian Parks
