A woman was arrested in Olympia yesterday after randomly approaching a house and ripping wires off of the side of the house, creating property damage.
Marysville resident Kimberly Ann Mallang, 42, was arrested by Olympia Police after a child witness called 911 reporting that a “crazy homeless woman” had begun pulling wires out of the telephone connection box mounted outside of the house.
The child reported at 9 p.m., hearing the commotion. The child went outside to ask Mallang what she was doing. Mallang became verbally confrontational with the child, and started to walk away from the house toward Boulevard Road, then threw something at the child, striking the child in the ankle, causing pain.
Mallang headed east behind the Fir Grove business complex across from the witness’s home. Olympia Police apprehended her behind the Forest Funeral Home Cemetery at 2501 Pacific Ave SE. The witness identified Mallang as the woman who had created property damage at their home.
Olympia Police interviewed Mallang; they report that she began to ramble about the people in the witness’s home who were “being involved in kidnapping.” She denied any involvement in damaging the home or removing the wires.
Mallang was booked into the Olympia City Jail and would not speak to the Olympia Police further, invoking her rights.
