Accused shoplifter arrested, signs "Notice of Restriction," awaits prosecution

A female suspect was arrested for shoplifting $214.99 of items at the Wal-Mart on Galaxy Dr. in Lacey on last Saturday, April 24.

Sasha Weyl, 31, had been monitored by Wal-Mart’s Asset Protection after she placed several pieces of merchandise in a shopping cart, then exited the store through the grocery entrance/exit without making any attempt to pay.

Weyl caught the attention of the asset protection staff after she told the door host that her boyfriend was in the bathroom with the receipt. Weyl walked past several opened and manned registers, making no attempt to purchase the concealed merchandise.

The store’s asset protection staff contacted Weyl outside the store, asking her to return to the store to talk about the unpaid merchandise. Weyl returned inside the store without incident. Weyl told Asset Protection that the merchandise was for her boyfriend’s business and that she had to pick up her child.

Weyl was cited for shoplifting by the Lacey Police and signed a “Notice of Restriction from Property” with Walmart that she was no longer welcome on any Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. property.
