This is admirable,I guess, considering that the preserve was originally meant to be just that...a green spot amid growing development. AT one time it hosted cattle. Now it's full of houses. Half an acre isn't much of a park.
ANd, if the Port of Olympia and the Dept. of Transportation have their ways, soon the Preserve will be squished between TWO airports...Olympia's Regional airport will be sending 737s right over your heads, flights ever ten minutes, all day, every day., starting as soon as they finished paving the extensions to their runways. And the Mega airport, called Thurston International, will add hundreds more. Enjoy your non stop noise, you residents of THe Preserve.
Or fight the airports NOW. Go to Stop the Olympia Airport and sign the petition and fight the expansion. And fight the Mega airport.
