Report Inappropriate Comments

It's clear that a tax increase is inevitable in one form or another. Do we want to have a bigger upfront investment now or pay more later? While the RFA is hard to stomach for some, we have to look at the big picture and the meteoric growth that has happened in our communities and is continuing seemingly without end. Consolidation is key to future efficiencies. I for one would rather pay more in the beginning to ensure a smoother road down the line.

What I don't get is the upset over it being an entity purely focused on the fire department as if that is some new concept. We have fire districts all around us that tax and govern solely on the basis of fire/EMS protection. The RFA is not some new invention.
