On the night of April 30, officers responded to a residential burglary in Thurston County and arrested an unclothed suspect allegedly under the influence of methamphetamine.

According to the Olympia Police Department (OPD) post, the incident unfolded around 11:30 p.m. when the suspect unlawfully entered a home through the back door.

Upon discovering the intrusion, the homeowner barricaded themself with their infant in a bathroom and called law enforcement.

The residents also disclosed to the authorities that their 8-year-old child was inside his bedroom.

TCSO officers arrived at the scene and evacuated all family members to safety, then approached the suspect, who was found completely unclothed in another bathroom.

“The suspect was compliant and taken into custody without incident. He admitted to smoking meth earlier in the night. His clothing was located at the back door where he entered the home,” TCSO stated.

The suspect was transported and booked into Thurston County Jail for residential burglary.

“Shout out to the victim and Thurston 911 for their quick and effective communication helping officers quickly and safely get the victim’s family out of the house, and quickly locate the suspect,” TCSO said. “Great work, Patrol.”

Thaknks to TCSO, this worked out as best as could be hoped for. I wonder why Jolt keeps saying words like 'allededly'. The intruder admitted being high. A criminal wouldn't have stripped naked and, from what the tv news said, took a shower.

These days you don't dare not lock your doors..to your home as well as your car.

I sure hope the intruder was put in a cell still naked. Maybe freezing his buns off will make him get clean...

    yes, pun intended.
